John has facilitated training sessions for an extensive list of esteemed clients, including the Superior Court Justices of Southwestern Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, Coca Cola Canada, Compassion Canada, PACTIV Canada, Canada Revenue, Provincial Judges, Eaton’s, Garda Security Company, London E.M.S., and many more. His training repertoire spans various industries and organizations, from hospitals and emergency services to conservation authorities, legal firms, retail giants, and educational institutions. His work with various organizations illustrates his deep understanding of unique workplace environments and their associated security needs.

In addition to providing training, John has served as a trusted expert for several law firms throughout Ontario in preparing cases related to workplace litigation involving acts of violence. His expert advice is sought after by both defense attorneys and crown prosecutors in criminal trials involving use-of-force related issues, testifying to his profound understanding of these matters.

John’s professional background is as diverse as it is impressive. With over 30 years of experience in policing, he has held various significant roles in uniform patrol, human resources, major crime/homicide unit, street drug unit, and crime prevention. This broad spectrum of experience has enabled John to garner a comprehensive understanding of security and safety concerns, a skillset he brings to Threat Ready’s training programs.

His commitment to learning and developing as a professional is reflected in his array of certifications. He has received training certifications from the FBI in firearms and defensive tactics, the National Tactical Officers Association as an active killer response trainer, and the Ontario Police College as a Use of Force instructor. Additionally, John is a Level 2 Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (C.P.T.E.D.) instructor and has taught and certified both police and civilians in the Level 1 course.

John has often been in the limelight due to his profound expertise and instructional background. He has appeared on television and radio and has been selected as a guest lecturer for instructional videos on business intuition. Despite his accolades, John remains committed to the mission of Threat Ready: to equip workplaces with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain safety and mitigate violence. His passion for this mission guides his work every day, shaping Threat Ready’s approach to creating safer and more secure working environments across North America.

Threat Ready provides training that is traditionally reserved for Emergency Services Personnel: Police, Fire Rescue, Security and Paramedics. We have personally trained thousands of civilian staff members throughout Ontario and continue to expand our team of consultants.
