The course syllabus covers a broad spectrum of crucial topics including pre-attendance planning, situational awareness, assault indicators, and first contact process. These topics aim at improving the readiness and efficiency of the emergency responders. We delve into nonverbal communication and weapon familiarization, equipping responders with the necessary skills to handle volatile situations while ensuring their own safety. The course also covers active shooter response considerations and effective collaboration with responding police, fortifying the operational efficacy of emergency responders in high-pressure situations.
