Services and Training
Threat Ready provides highly specialized training to companies that require professional training for staff who may encounter workplace violence.
We offer several training modules designed to meet the specific needs of our clients and ensure that their staff is equipped with the necessary skills to mitigate and respond to the risks associated with potentially violent incidents in the workplace.
Our Employee Response Team Training module is designed for selected staff who will receive training on how to respond to workplace violence. Members will be instructed on the four critical response roles during a high-risk incident and perform trained responses to controlled scenarios. Your staff will be familiarized with the most common weapons used during incidents involving workplace violence, with the goal of mitigating the harm they may cause. The Response Team is designed to address the response delay until emergency services can attend and take over the scene.
Our Generalized Response Training is designed for all staff members and provides a training platform for all attending members involved in a workplace emergency involving violence. It covers options in responding to a workplace attack and formulating basic plans for emergencies at the workplace.
We also custom design Specialized Training Modules for staff who work in high-risk environments such as E.M.S. workers, conservation officers, security personnel, and staff who work with the public. The training is always customized to accommodate the unique needs of the client and the environment in which they operate.

In addition to training, our team works with legal teams and lawyers throughout Canada on case preparation involving use of force. We have experience in working with defendants and plaintiffs in police-related matters, security personnel, and employees who are victims of acts of violence.
We also offer Physical Site Analysis to assess buildings from a crime prevention perspective. Our team conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the site’s access control, exterior lighting, parking lot safety, CCTV system placement, locking options, alarms, and any other features that may make the building less desirable to be targeted for crime. We use a team approach with a CPTED instructor, access control experts, and surveillance trained personnel to ensure a customized approach that addresses the building’s unique needs. The final report includes imagery taken by a professional photographer and employee surveys. Our report also recommends staff training as determined by the analysis.
Our Training is conducted by a team of selected experts with expertise in psychology, police use of force, police investigations, human resources, surveillance, interviewing techniques, common weaponry, and responding to emergencies involving workplace violence. Our clients are taught how to recognize high-risk incidents, respond effectively using leadership techniques, effective communications, how to delegate emergency medical interventions, and how to engage staff to assist in tactical responses specific to the building. The training is always tailored to the needs of the client and may include lectures, controlled scenarios, historical incident reviews, employment of best practices, as well as including mandatory regulations.
The scenarios used in our training are controlled, and staff are made aware that they are drills for their safety. They cover a range of potential emergencies, including medical emergencies and situations involving threatening individuals. By using real-life scenarios in a controlled classroom setting, staff can experience how to respond effectively to these situations without fear of injury or harm. This type of training is critical in ensuring staff feel more prepared and confident in the event of an actual emergency.
